Subject: Pose Positioning: A technical query

Howdy gang! A friend of mine is working on a pose set involving couples, and has run into the following snag. Any advice or recommendations that solve the problem will be greatly rewarded. THE PROBLEM Two figures are loaded into the scene, and the poses created. Each pose is then saved out into the Pose library, each with unique name, etc. New scene, two figures loaded in. Each pose is applied. The figures move to the correct pose, but NOT the correct position. Figures must be manually moved in order for the poses to look correct. This, in some cases, is a royal pain in the can. THE SOLUTION ????? Any solution would be greatly appreciated, and as I said, rewarded. ChromeTiger

When you save them make sure IK is off for all the figures you are saving poses for.

The position of the body is not saved in pose files. Use only the hip for correct position in the scene. Mazak

Mazak has it right. If you want poses to remember position, do not move the figures using the body, only use the hip. Now there is a workaround for this. Save your poses like normal, including the movement of the body, but also save the scene file. You will have to load up the scene file in a text editor and copy the body translations over to the pose file so they are also loaded when you load the pose.
