...and design my own ballpark. I hope to make this nice enough to hush the critics of Bryce some. Here's a rough sketch I did this past weekend (I'm not a great freehand sketcher at all as you can see) of my next project, of which is going to be pretty damn big. I think it's going to change as time goes along because I might want to add more features, such as a retractable roof, etc...I haven't decided yet. I'm more worried about the texturing than anything but it'll be easier to deal with as I construct it. I'm going to do it in pieces and just import, etc. When it comes to seats, that's going to be a creative venture, but I'll run across those tracks when that time comes. Also, I will do interior shots of different sections as though you're on a virtual tour. And FINALLY...when it's all said and done, I want to add sorta another dimension to it by learning some animation. I want to do day and night time fly arounds (and fly-throughs) and if I add the retractable roof, I would like to animate that to show how that works. But animation is farthest on my mind at this point. The biggesting thing is going about this in an efficient manner. I think the interiors are going to be seperate files and then in a final animation video I'm going to work those interiors in as part of the fly-through. But I'll worry about that later. In the meantime, I'd like to post some WIPs as time goes along if you are interested in seeing them, that will keep me motivated on this project to the finish. This is kinda my dream to do in Bryce, I hope you all would like to join me on that ride! I'll do other pics in the meantime too just for fun and a break from it. I'm excited by this whole thing! :)

Kind Regards,
Ian

I'll be more than interested! Looks like a very ambitious project, keep us updated! I already have a question for you: are you going to render it as an "architectural project" (I mean, with the starkness and clarity of, say, AutoCAD), or you will go for realism? Just curious. :) S.

WOW! This is the kinda stuff that keeps us Bryce Noobs excited. Please post your wip's as you go along. LB

Doublecrash... I'm mainly shooting for realism of the image itself...I'd like for it to be architectural in a sense to where it appears that it's a picture, and very accurate, but time will tell with that one. The exterior project will be a lot of terrains with walls and windows...the glass enclosure walkway along the left field line will probably be booleans. I'm just beginning to think up how I'm going to construct this thing, but it's definitely going to be piece by piece and imported (that's how I did my castle picture.) Hopefully it'll turn out. Lost_Boy_Z... Glad you're interested and excited...welcome to Bryce and keep on stopping back! MD

hey maddog, excellent idea as I am a gigantic baseball fan. I have always wanted to do this exact same thing in Bryce but was never ambitious enough. If you need or want any help with the designing or modeling aspect of it, Id be more than happy to help, just drop me a line cause I cant wait to see where this ends up :-)

Cool idea. It'll take guite some time to build and render, but that's just what makes big projects fun.

I'm with lost boy z on this one. Your description of the project alone has this Noob excited as well! Looking forward to those wip's...
