Hi folks,
Around here they are running a new Jaguar commercial featuring a semitransparent soft cutaway into the Jaguar emblem showing the mechanical motion within. I got to thinking, hey Fake Fresnel in the new Shader Ops update can do that! I've updated the Shader Ops resource page at

with a new shader to emulate the soft cutaway look. Here's a rendered frame from a Cognito animation

Very cool! Nice effect for inivisble objects/creatures in a fantasy scene. I'll have to save that. Marc
