No problem to model these with booleans and metaballs. Just takes some practice. Check out Redinards gallery here. Excellent works!

You should take a thorough view of what Bryce can do with its simple tools, Supreme :) __ The image you linked is made with Bryce booleans. It takes a while to master them, but once you got the feel of it, you're up to great things. BTW, Redinard is among my all-time Bryce favs... he's simply amazing. S.

This image was in a bryce gallery, but i dont see how it could have been made with bryces functions. Do you think it was made in another 3d program and then exported into bryce?
