Not too certain about this.....as I said in my previous post, it was windy, so tripod or not there was going to me motion. Kind of abstract looking I suppose. Lighting from spotlights, tripod mounted. f/3.5, 2 seconds on shutter.

I am, therefore I create.......

I like this photo, Michelle. It is quite a nice abstract. However, I have not quite decided if "taken at night" quite equates to a theme of "night." Then again, I haven't really had time to read the Challenge rules yet, so what do I know? My first thought for this Challenge was a cityscape, something like Rork's tutorial. That would be "taken at night" but not too sure if it fits the theme of "night"? If I knew the right neighborhoods to go, I'd try to get some shots at Ladies of the Night. This would seem to fit the theme. Have to ask Donald where to go. With the weather as it has been, my best bet is maybe chasing the cat outside on the driveway, and doing a "Dark and Stormy Night" thing.

Definitely abstract...I like it! It is my opinion that any photo taken outdoors at night would qualify as an entry. Seeing as it is a 'challenge', I take that as meaning we are to challenge ourselves in our skills. At night, we are making ourselves learn to photograph in low light situations, with settings we may not normally use. All in all I think it is left open to different interpretaions. I want to see everyone's different ideas. Misha I would watch out for the pimps, though ;) Shannon

Well it's pretty open to interpertation which was how I wanted it to be. Night could be anything you see it as. I don't have access to cityscapes....just one little Main Street filled with gas stations, a market and a couple of fast food places...it's really just a stop-off for people on their way to or from NY and beyond. I might still park myself at all night gas station one of these nights and see what I can capture, but all in all, after 9 everything is closed.......(boring) So for me night also means low light. I would go as far as saying photographs taken indoors such as nightclubs/ hotspots also qualify.

I am, therefore I create.......

After 9 everything is closed! Gee you are missing out. For me it's not a questions of what to photograph it's how to do it best. Michelle can I use a collage of pictures as an entry? Bsteph
