I'm attempting to create and import a complex sail boat model to use with poser to create a small animation. I could use any suggestions on how to group or key the sails and fittings for morphing.

I would bring in a single obj of stuff that does not move (ie: keel (unless is not a fixed keel of course), cabin, fore and aft decks, main mast, etc.) make that a figure. Then bring in the seperate objs that move together and make them props parented to figure. Then search through here for Dr. Geep props/rotation/joint setting up tutorial. I did a crane that way with rotating cab and up down| expanding boom. The hardest is setting up the joint parameters but should be easy with the sails. Also, may want to use the create wave once in poser (if P5) and make morphs for lufting on sails and magnet for full wind fill - so may want to keep boom and lines seperate but parented to the sails. Good luck!
