Went out to take some photos for the June Challenge last night. Every Saturday night between 10pm and 11pm there is an illuminating show at a fountain in the middle of my hometown Mannheim. I'm really not familiar with night shots, but I tried and was pretty curious what it will look like. I'm not very satisfied, just wanted to show you and ask for some hints. Also I can't decide which one to send to the June Challenge. What would you think, could it be an entry to the June Challenge?

WoW! All three are magical. I'm picking the first one as my favorite. The second is just as good as the first but the little fountain at the bottom is a tad distracting. Doesn't make the photo bad by any means, it just happen to be what caused me to pick number one, instead of two. Number three is also fabulous. I think all three are very fitting tobe entered! 1 is best but I say enter them all! Magick Michael

Monika, if you don't mind me asking, what type of camera did you use and what were your settings? You don't seem to have a speck of grain/noise in your photos. How did you achieve that? I tried doing some similar fountain shots in the first week of June but mine were a flop. I think I had left my exposure open too long. Giving me the results of overly saturated colors and a lot of noise. Well, I hope you don't think I'm being too invasive. I know some artists are protective of their techiniques. If I am, feel free to tell me so :) Shannon

All three are good but personally I like the second one best. It had more color. Alternatively you could retouch the heck out of the picture and remove the cityscape in the background of number one and/or close in the left side crop of number one picture to make the picture seem more even. BUT don't pay attention to me. I personally like to have things centered. Which I realize is a photo "no-no" Bsteph
