Thanks to you too Hypronost, it's a great start! Speaking as a novice some more unsmoothed cages/control cages would be really useful! - Baz

please tell a newbie..what can I use a wireframesite for? I can see that you're all happy about it..

hypronost ( ) posted Mon, 16 June 2003 at 12:26 PM

-illicit : hey tnx, I'll keep that in mind. -The_Great_Dane : lol, I understand your confusion. Wireframe images (specially from organic models) often give the modeler a good view on how to construct there model. For example: if you look at the wireframes of some of the heads in there you'll notice that they all have nice edgeloops and mostly all 4 sided polys wich results in a clean easy to animate mesh. By studying these images you can use the same techniques for your own work. Hope that explains :) -BazC : your totally right and I'll look into that.

first off thanks Longanarts awesome resource site so far.
if you would like any of my wire pics let me know.

The Great Dane, the wire pics allow you to see how the model was constructed ie the basic wire build hence the desire to see wires and shaded wireframe pics at most modeling forums.

cheers
stu
