Subject: rero.com is against art

leeAnne ( ) posted Mon, 16 June 2003 at 1:33 PM · edited Tue, 05 November 2024 at 1:07 AM

i had uploadet a picture rero say: Inappropriate for this site..... In previous discussions it has been decided that hands on breasts qualifies as such. You will find that images like this are more than welcome at Renderotica, might I recommend it to you? ok i censored the pic and post it again rero say: Once again I am removing the image "love" from your gallery. After discussion upon this with administration, it is felt that even with your own censoring of it, it still has the same impact as before. Do not repost the image again, and consider this an official warning. Next time will result in a 7 day banning from the site. Also as I said to you in an IM from the first image of your's that was pulled, you do not look of age. Nor does your friend. This can be considered child porn, this is not a porn site. Nor do we allow images of nude minors on this site, art or not. If you do post images of nudes in which the age is questionable, barring that they are not unsuitable, you will need to provide proof of age, ie. a drivers license or official ID. >>>im a 26 female and i dont think i look like a child<<< my answer: first thanks that u think im so young but i think u have many problems with ur eyes the picture i post have nothing to do with any porn its only in the eye of the observer and i think a apologize were be appropriate if u dont think so delete me from your database i think u fergot thet behind every name in the database a real human exist now i`m waiting what comes back

Renderosity and it's moderators and administration reserve the right to remove images as they see fit, if they are unsuitable or against TOS. You bringing your problem with me and administration into a public forum is uncalled for and rather childish. Not a good way to make a first appearance in this forum. Care continue?

My suggestion is to refer back to the thread in the other forum that you made. You have your answer right there. Cheers!

"i think u have many problems with ur eyes" She keeps them closed, because your terrible grammar hurts her eyes so much. uploadet a apologize were be fergot thet puplic If your Gallery was as big as your mouth, you would be one of the most prominent guests on this forum.

I'm guessing Rork is the new grammar moderator for this forum. You have a lot of work ahead of you...

I have to agree with Michelle and the rest of the renderosity staff on there descision on this one. The model in question looks under age, in both photos that were posted. No Physical Information was given that proves that the model was of age to prove otherwise. Where I live, not only with the signed concent form they require a photocopy of the drivers license/state id in order for the photographer to take photo's of this nature. If this information isn't gathered prior to doing the photos the photographer can end up in a rather messy lawsuit even if he/she is in the right. Same goes with publications, Legal age verification has to be obtained before they can make prints of photos in this nature. Germany laws may be Different then US laws however this is a US based site so Renderosity is bound by there state and Fedral laws.

I guess I came too late again. Now I'm courious as to what the censored version looked like. In the persons defence. Perhaps english is not their first language and/or they use a voice translator. Bsteph

But they knew enough about english to make 2 clone accounts to post soft porn here. Post your stuff over at Renderoicta where they will welcome it.

You can't call it work if you love it... Zen Tambour

Werd... Renderotica is a good place for photography of that sort. Yes, Rork, I misspelled "word", sue me...

Rork1973 ( ) posted Tue, 17 June 2003 at 4:25 AM

"Perhaps english is not their first language" Well, it's just not such a common thing over here to say that someone has got a problem with their eye sight. Especially if she's talking to moderators who are very fair, kind and compasionate people. So if she says "thet behind every name in the database a real human exist", why is it so hard to be a little more civilized to the moderators ? :)

YAY - FIGHT...... FIGHT...... FIGHT........ All the schoolkids gather in a circle expectedly to watch the push-you-pull-me

JordyArt ( ) posted Wed, 18 June 2003 at 4:00 PM

Actually, thinking SERIOUSLY about this one, I find it VERY disturbing that mods are pulling pictures because they consider them to be of minors, and then advising them to post them to other sites..... surely if the pictures are being pulled because they are believed to be of minors then someone should be doing something to prevent them being posted ANYWHERE?!? The implication throughout this thread is that it's ok to post that sort of thing at Rotica... which I would certainly hope it isn't..... Just a thought........ (",)

caleb68 ( ) posted Wed, 18 June 2003 at 7:57 PM

The thing is, we have no way of verifying the model is of age considering the model wont submit the info needed. So if the model is of age the could 'post' other places where they may or may not be as strict. No Renderosity wasn't implying that its 'ok' to post underage pictures at all.

starshuffler ( ) posted Thu, 19 June 2003 at 5:20 AM

I do not condone publishing photos of minors in a compromising way. Renderosity will not put up with it, but if people insist in doing so then they can do that elsewhere. There are places around the net that do not have qualms about such things and welcome such images. sigh PS- A black rectangle does not make a photo appropriate for the site if the intent of the photo is explicit anyway. One hopes that a site like 'osity has legal counsel on this topic. This is not just a matter of artistic merit or morals, there are laws. People go to jail for such things. Not just the photographer, but the site managers, maybe the moderators, maybe even the customers who have archived thousands of Poser files depicting under-age bits doing un-natural things. [U.S. Federal law makes it a felony to distribute child pornography, even if the model(s) are adult. Those photos of Japanese women wearing the little school-girl uniforms, playing with teddy-bears, could certainly fit the letter of the law, depending of course on what they are playing with. It does not take much to imagine that there is some district attourney out there wanting to build a reputation by prosecuting the first case using computer rendering. The 'osity TOS, and strict enforcement of it, is the best protection we have.] "the model wont submit the info needed"...why not? Dosen't matter. Photograph her/his drivers license and keep it on file. The moderators are not being mean or prudish in this; they are doing their job, to protect this business. [On the moral issue, thank you, Jordy, for reminding us.] Sorry about any misstyped or misspelled words.

Just My Two Penny's worth. I have never seen the Image in Question, so I have no knowledge of the Model in Question. Being an International Site, attracting International Artist, I am sure we have many different Views on what is and what isn't Moral, as we have different Customs and Beliefs. What I will say is that the Moderators here, do a good job, and if I was in the Position of leeAnne, I would accept any Censoring, so as to "Comply" with any Legal stuff, this is a Policy for all. Sometimes I feel that I myself may "Sail close to the Wind" in some of My own work (Not Nudity ...I would not frighten You with shots of Me)...and I would gladly accept being advised, that My Photograph was not acceptable...as sometimes, My Own Judgement is not "Moral" enough. The "Bottom" Line...ooh...I hope I am not Punished for using the word "Bottom" ...We MUST have Moderators, We Must rely on their Guidence, or the place will become a shambles, and fall down around us. This is My Personal Opinion ...I don't want to get into a School Yard Fight...because I am a Good a Fighter, as I am a Lover....so..You all might just get hurt :( Hugz to all, and try and enjoy Your Day....and this wonderful Venue, for Posting Your Art :)
