Just so that I know what takes precedence when other members view with their choice of the options. In the screen grabs you can see that I often play with integrating my images with the colour choice of display. I don't just do this with the thumbs, some of my images rely on the extension of my work out into the background of the page. Will the display preferences of other members take precedence over my choice of retaining the old colour scheme? I get the feeling that I am going to have to rethink some of my postings, if not deleting them all together! Not a moan, just a question! Cheers! Brendan.

Hi Brendan! I think that the background colour preferences made by the members will be what they see in the galleries etc. I can see what you mean about your images integrating into the black backgrounds, I think that is a very effective compositional technique. I always chose a black background for my preferences, I believe the choices were there in the past (for bg & text colour changes I mean) so the chances are that there were some members who weren't seeing your images in the way we would have been seeing them with our black backgrounds anyway...I hope this goes some way to answering your question. :-)>

We will be monitoring the members and the colors that they choose .... if we see a huge selection by the members then we will probably consider making that the default color. I know it is big change - we just ask that you give this some time. tammy

aaah well!, I am off on a trip till Monday so things might have evened out by the time I return. I am guessing that the vast majority of folks here preferred the black in the past and will continue to favour it in the future. Well, my berry colors are pretty, but I'm going to have to try out some greens. That hideously ugly color of vomit green when you click on a link has got to be masked somehow. Are we really going to have to suffer for two months? :( Carolly
