I really like the lighter background for the galleries. Vue images are generally dark and blended in with the black background. It will take some getting used to, but it's looking good so far!

Its a nice fresh look. I will have to go back and look at all the text that I printed in yellow and fix them up. I agree, it will take some time to get used to.

I know the header looks ugly. But as i have to wait every thing is setup, I need to do it this way, quickly. Otherwise you will not be able to see the already visited links. And now, i go to sleep. The programmers have done a great work. Let's see tomorrow:-) Guitta

Sorry to be a dissenting voice, particularly when people have obviously put effort into revamping the look, I am in favour of the new menu system but I much prefer the old colour scheme. I have already used my member profile to revert to the previous foreground/background colours, but wish it were possible to revert the colours of the top/side bars form elements too.

I like the brownish color, myself; wish I could change the main area (where forums etc are) to match, but can't figure out what the exact color is. Will be nice if they recode the links, though; I have dark blue clicked link against brown, lol! Going blind! Anyhow, it's not the cosmetics I come here for, but the content, which is still great. Especially the Vuers!

I know I shouldn't have visited this place in the morning. Darn I'm confused. Couldn't realy understand where I was. Found the forum though ;)

As long as we only can controll text and background this site will look like crap. I do prefere it as it was before but setting it that way makes the links unredable. Olso such tings as the box at top presenting among other things the winner image either has to use the text and background in the user profile or it should use its own settings. As it is I get a medium grey background with yellow text witch is totally unreadable. Either we need to be able to control it all or some texts that we not can controll needs to have some auto contrast making text switch between black or white depending on the background. The reson for me to going back to the black background is that I think the images looks better when they seems to emerge from the background. To much contrast between the image and the background fools the eye. Also I dont like the new meny at the right. I dont know about you but what I do the most when I'm here is reading the forums. Jumping between them was before an easy task but now it needs a lot more fiddling around. Before I just scrolled the page down and I would find the forums with ease as the one I used to visit was highlighted. Now I first has to scroll down the page. The open up the dropdownbox with it's small hard to read text and then try to find the forums I want to visit in the long list by scrolling. This is not good. If this lists should be used all list should be placed at the top so one not first has to scroll the page and the list should higlight visited forums or the list should at lest be split up in one list for 3D and one for the rest as the list simply is to long as it is. The wasted time is in reallity nothing if compered to the time I use to actually read the messages but the time for the forum navigation part has increased by 5 to 10 times and the frustration comes creeping everytime I know I have to scroll down to that damn forum box.

Well I have to go with those that like the site...But dislike the white background. (like Flycatcher I have already changed back to black as my background colour.) My reasons for this are simple... Pics look better on a black background. I know this is personal taste, but I actually see a lot more detail and the pictures feel warmer. Everything else seems pretty cool though :) Kutter

You can change background color in Member options / My Profile...

MikeJ ( ) posted Wed, 18 June 2003 at 8:29 AM

I don't like it. I liked the old way, and I liked the old logos...alot. If it had been up to me, I would have just left everything the way it was...

gebe ( ) posted Wed, 18 June 2003 at 10:35 AM

I like it because I like changes and the light background ids easier to read for me. But everthing is not finished yet here at Renderosity. Let's be patient:-) Guitta

I would have prefered the layout to be left the same until they had given members greater control options, such as; editing posts etc Cheers

I personaly like the new design and colors. The new logo of renderosity is a piece of art !

I like the new look overall, however I'm another that dislikes the default white background. I think the dark background is easier on the eyes, and the images stand out better. Kudos to Renderosity for giving us the option to customize our colors!
