I'd say that's a fair assessment. Mind you, some of us serious artistes who work with the human figure, now and then, never in a gratuitous manner mind you, are looking askance at you somewhat askance as well! (grin)

erm... i don't doubt that certain people are absolute artists in their poser field. but hey, others aren't. and be my guest, bring your poser waraxe, I'll bring my Wings scifi ship and blast you into nothingness! EAT MY HIGH POLYGON MODELING, WANKER!! :P

Make love, not war... By the way I saw quite a lot of junk in both the Pose AND Bryce section... Some people say that Bryce is just lego, the real art being 3DS Max, Lightwave or C4D. There's even a sect of Maya fundamentalists... Does someone get 20 000 $ ?

Astride, very good point on the $20,000. I'd use that stuff too if I had the extra flow, but even then again, I think I'd still stick with Bryce. I've been learning some cool new things in Bryce that keep me coming back image after image. Texturing is the key in this software. MD

now that's not entirely fair..;) I think Poser is an excellent tool for creating figure objects to be imported into Bryce..;) Never bad-mouth a subsidiary tool for your important work..;)
