Well, thanks to some advice from this forum I have started working with Wings3D to model objects. I am then exporting the object as a .3ds file and importing it into Poser 5.

My question is, is there a way to define different areas for the Material Tab once I have it imported? This may not be a Poser question, but I have tried a variety of different things in Wings (making each part I wanted to be able to paint a different color its own object before exporting for example) with no luck.

So, is there a way to tell poser that different parts of an object should have their own textures?

Thanks in advance
Sheridan

the only way is posers grouping tool.its not very comfortable, but you can splitt your imported object in different matzones. Look for some tuts about the grouping tool. Another thing is to export 3ds thing as wavefront obj and use the free uvmapper for splitting
