I have found several mermaid, naga, and centaur models, but no male or female satyr model, nor tails/parts of various creatures to add to models other than the two monster packs. Please help?

Why can't you use the Fawn legs from Traveler's monster pack for your satyr? It also comes with 6 different horns.

Cause that's not what a satyr is. A satyr is half human, half goat (waist halfway mark).

cobalt has a satyr in the Free Stuff at 3D Commune. If you go after it, take note that the provided hotlink is mistyped, and the correct address for the download is listed in the comments section.

Alan Scott has a couple of minotaurs here in the Marketplace. One of them is Michael-based.

Rawnrr has some nice werewolf and devil character packs for Mike in the Marketplace. And as long as you're in there, take a look at sixus1's store: troll, Cerberus, daemon, minotaur, and male/female werewolves.

bloodsong has a free tailpack at 3D Menagerie, along with hooves and a tail for Michael (they're meant for Alan Scott's minotaur, but they'll work on their own).

Traveler has a free, posable tail for his Monster Pack at Morph World 3.0.

lourdes has some bone-wings and an interesting Victoria character named Razorback here in Free Stuff.

I have a couple of posable tails (horse tail and bushy tail) in Free Stuff, as well. They can be parented to any figure.

Styxx has an insect character for Victoria in the Free Stuff at RunTime DNA. It includes antennae, wings, and a wasp-like abdomen.

Thanx!

Little Dragon>Thanks for mentioning Sixus1 there! We're busting our humps to try and turn out a very in depth library of original fantasy, sci fi and horror figures with more than just a cursory look at the mythology side of things. Also, if you're looking for something very specific, we will take custom orders and are always open to requests. Thanks! Les

Well, got two requests. :) A female satyr (like the male version, but a knockout) for Victoria/Stephanie, and from Hercules, the Golden Hind ;)BTW, I so love the site

sixus1 ( ) posted Mon, 23 June 2003 at 9:37 AM

Well, I appreciate the request. However I should have noted one caveat: I am no longer doing any kind of work that expands on non-Sixus1 products. My focus as a business is on providing 100% original models to the Poser community, something that I feel has been overlooked by the major content developers for far too long. Although I will do expansions and mods on my own products, I feel that there is simply too much already available (specifically for Mike and Vicky) and that our place as a business in the Poser market is one of providing new figures and alternatives to the current status quo. All that said, I will definitely take some time to draw up a few designs for the creature you suggested and would invite you to point out any sources or inspirations that you feel would help out. Thanks! Les
