Subject: Help With Rendering

I have Poser 4 with Pro Pack installed. My problem is when I render images in Bryce in a very high resolution and import it into Poser as a background picture it looks great. When I render the image I always make sure the antialiasing option is checked and the resolution is at least 300 dpi or dpc. The problem is the Poser figure is always crisp and clear but the background is always pixelated even with the render size to be 3000 x 2000. The Poser figure is always well rendered but the background image is blocky and antialiased. Does anyone know of a way to increase the quality of the background image when rendering?

This happens to pictures placed on the background(does not get antialized, looks pixelated, and just looks very low res). Instead place your image on the one sided square, and resize it to fill the background. It will look just as good as your main subject. Two things with doing it this way..... watch what your shadows are doing,as they can show up on the square prop(easy to fix)...also you may not need as high of resolution image to start with. SWAMP

Thank you soooo much. I never thought of these suggestions. I also appreciate your going out of your way to indicate interactions with shadows. You are too kind for taking the time to help me. Thank you.

Really the best way of useing a Bryce or Vue image as a background is in a image editing program(Photoshop,PSP,etc). Just render your Poser image to the same size as your Bryce image(background color set to black)..and save it in a format that supports alpha channels...like tiff or psd.In your image program use the alpha channel to create a mask and you will get a PERFECT cutout and transparent background. Now just put this on top of your Bryce image. The advantage of doing it this way,is you can now adjust the color, levels, contrast, etc of one or both of your two images and they will blend togeather much better....(images rendered togeather in Poser always have that cut and paste look to me as they never really match).
