Hi folks: Has anyone imported Poser characters with bones into 3DS Max? Will the poser Pro Pack do this? I'd like to animate a poser character in 3DS Max with mocap data, but I only have CSM format data and not BVH data, or I'd use MaxPose. Thanks, RJ

Nope. No Poser bones in Max, using Pro Pack. You can't alter the Poser figure's geometry in Max, either. Not if you import as Pro Pack 'PZ3' scenes. You can move, scale and rotate the entire Poser figure. You can change it's materials or texture map. All of the Poser figure's animation has to be done in Pro Pack first. High poly count Poser scenes can drop Max to it's knees. Needs LOTS of memory in a fast computer. There have been lots of complaints that "Pro Pack's Max plugin has never worked very good." I'm not sure if it's working at all in Max 5 yet.
