Subject: Cheez! There are some "hungry" ones out here.

I've made a "quick and dirty" transmap and bumpmap of a generic garter belt and panties using Scott's UVMapper to guide me with and posted it. The whole thing took about 30 minutes to create and it really isn't that good (IMHO) but I see after only a couple of days over a thousand downloads of it have taken place leading me to believe that there must be a vast multitude of people "starving" for tex/bump freebies. Anyone care to substantiate this observation?

Preface: This is by no means a flame, generalazation or dig at anyone or anything. there is a greater diversity than I can mention. LOL, Good, Bad or Ugly. There are a lot of members that come to this forum just to grab things from the Free Stuff pages. They more than likely don't even read the messages. Then there the other members, who just come in to lurk ;-) Then the people who occasionally speak up and share. (the shy ones) Then there are the great people who come in give advice (good or bad), share insights and files. And generally keep the good standards that make this forum so great. It takes all kinds. James

Personally I've never understood this garter buisness, always been more receptive to sports bra and plain cotton briefs. I guess I was a "Sporty" Spice fan where as some went for "Ginger" and some for "Scary"... "Posh" anyone? `dan "Old Spice" momodot (sorry :)

There are also people who want to learn everything they can about digital art and will download an item just to see how it was made.

James, You'va actually described the progression of my participation level at renderosity. I started out just coming to grab freestuff, then I lurked for a bit, started to share, And now I constantly check the 3d animation forum to see if there's anyone I can help. (I'm really interested to see more poser animations.)

Yeah brainmuffin, I started the same way. When I first started coming here it was just to grab the free stuff...then I started learning more in the forums and I began to post...messages then downloads. Thank God for the free-stuff. :) Kyrin

i have been lurking around here since the statement "let there be light " was made... :O)

Y'all have a great day.

It wasn't my intention to offend anyone nor start any of the old "flame wars" so my apologies to anyone who may have gotten their feelings hurt. Myself being a "freeloader" here have only began to post recently after grabbing as much "free stuff" as I could. I have learned alot here and I'm getting better all the time (no need need to sing this last part for those who remember the song). I was merely making an observation of the amount of downloads my posted gbelt/panties has managed compared to other stuff posted here weeks beforehand.
