Subject: Creating Thumbnail for New MAT Pose

Hi all, I have just successfully created a new MAT Pose, using the Mat Pose Edit program, and one of Lyrra's Shades of Michael textures sets. When I went into Poser, loaded up Mike 2 and went to the Pose sub-category containing the new MAT pose. The shrugging man thumbnail was displayed. So, I rendered the newly-textured Michael, selected Display/Paste onto Background, selected Aux Camera and moved it to one side, effectively removing the figure from the scene window. I then clicked the + sign at the bottom of the Library palette on the right-hand to save it as a new pose file. I saved it as a pz2 file with a new name. The new pose gets created, but the problem is that the thumbnail is nothing more than a blank square with a slightly darker circle in the middle. FYI, I am using Poser 5. So, what am I doing wrong ? thanks, Andrew

You're doing nothing wrong. That trick used to work, but the background image no longer appears in the thumbnail, due to the inclusion of the alpha channel. It's the same with Pro Pack. Something changed in Poser at some point. Since you have P5, I recommend that you set the document window to 91x91, then render the thumbnail and save it to your Pose Library folder as a PNG file with the same name as the .pz2.

Thanks a lot. That has worked beautifully for me.

Wow, now that is a great trick!

BTW I am planning on making MATS for the Shades sometime soon, as well as releasing a few new ones.

Oh and fixing a few texture issues with the current ones, notably around the hands

Thanks, Lyrra. BTW, those textures are awesome ...
