To assign a diferent material for every group in an obj all at once? I'm working with an obj with a lot of groups. forty or more...

Hmmm... If you mean 40 different textures for 40 different groups, then it would probably be quicker to save your item, then open it with "Cr2editor" and edit each mat yourself. Then save it under different name, and reopen in poser. If you mean 1 Texture for 40 different groups, then just click "Apply textures to Whole figure" in Mat Dialog box. And finally in the Grouping tool(Last one to the right), you can make different combinations of groups by "including material" within those groups... Marc

heyas; um... no. :) why do you want all forty parts to be different materials, anyway? i'd go nuts setting them all up in poser. but anyway, the quickest way i know of is to open the sucker in uv mapper. hit ctrl-g (to select group), cursor/page down to the next group and hit enter, then hit alt-e, a, m (to assign a material), type a material, hit enter (twice to okay the creation of a new material), and do it again.

Okay, the reason why was: I have a model that came with Ray Dream Studio. It's a city block. 8 buildings, 2 traffic lights, lampposts, etc. What i finally ended up doing was: filming the background (cityblock) separately in RDS, and using the avi as a background in poser.
