Subject: 3D Paper Model Experiment

This is an example of a 3D model that I created from a paper model purchased at a hobby store. The process is pretty straight-forward and relatively easy. There are several excellent paper models available that one could use as a starting point, beats trying to work from floor plans & blueprints. Incidentally, this is why I never saw any need for Canoma. I'd have posted the model itself except that the texture map is not mine to distribute and I never quite finished it, still needs a bump map, stairs & a waterwheel.

Very clever idea. It occurs to me that you could do a similar thing with a real building, a digital camera and a lot of patience.....

You know those models of dinosaur skeletons, I will try this technique to try and create a 3D model of on of those. I'll post when finished Stacey
