Our Winner of the May challenge, h-kana**,
has chosen the following theme for our July challenge:**

"THE WAVE "(What kind of wave do you select?) p>

tomaskrahn has chosen to sponsor this challenge by giving a free copy of "Small Trees 01" to the winner. Many thanks to Thomas, that's very generous.

font color="#FF0033">AND HERE ARE THE RULES:

  • You only can submit 1 image.

  • All submitted images will be uploaded by me with just a number on the side
of the image, without the name of the artist. The artists will stay anonymous
until the votes are closed. I will then change all the numbers for the names
of the creator of the image:-). This means that you cannot show your image
somewhere else until the votes are closed, otherwise it cannot be accepted.
I choose to do so to give an equal chance to all of you.

  • You have to send your submission to me by e-mail to: gebe@renderosity.com

  • Your image must be 800x600 or smaller in a horizontal
format and not more then 180 kb big. Bigger images and vertical images
are not accepted. Please send also a thumbnail not bigger then 180 wide
and 135 heigh, 15 KB maximum. Your images must be in JPG format.

  • DON'T FORGET to indicate your Rederosity user name

Very time consuming, I will not write anymore to submitters if a thumbnail
or the Renderosity user name is missing or if the submitted images doesn't
follow the rules in another way.

  • The winner who has chosen the theme for the month cannot participate

  • Challenge starts July 1 and will be closed on July 29, 5:00 Renderosity
    clock..
    Have fun!

Am no artist, so I wouldn't dare enter this contest. However, I am passionate about water. Lately, I've started work on a commercial package of objects for making scenes of ocean waves crashing on rocks. If anyone would like pieces of this package to play with, go here and download a set of simple objects. These are really simple! http://www.expandingwave.com/wavecontest/index.htm Just click on the picture to download. Sorry the picture is sooooooo poor! I just threw something together in a hurry and exagerated the water drops to show what these look like. Unfortunately, I'm supposed to be working for a living today and have a raft of client problems to deal with. I'll post more objects to play with next week if I get a chance, and might even be able to take a few orders if anyone has something specific in mind - and its within my poor capabilities.

BillyGoat, ... and any others interested, I finally figured out how to make the ocean spray droplets realistically attenuate (reduce) in size as they extend out into the air (after crashing on the rocks). I'll post another four or five pieces of ocean spray crashing on rocks on the web site on Tuesday at mid-day. Free for anyone interested in the contest. (Personally, I'd junk what you downloaded earlier. Modelling water is difficult, and I'm slow at working it out correctly, I think, so it takes me awhile to get it right. My apologies.)
