This is very nice Sharen. There was something I could not figure out about your images but I think I may have got it this time. I learned a few tricks about playing with lights in Vue. Maybe you can check them out by yourself if you don't know them already : - in atmosphere editor, I tend to set lights to 'sunlight' and 'sky' only, with no or little ambient light. - still in atmosphere editor, I tend to reduce the exposure (I find a negative exposure brings up more contrast). - compensate the lack of ambient lights by some soft (intensity = 10), shadowless lights. Quadratic lights give the best effect but they are more difficult to get used to.
It's a pitty Sharen that you did not allow comments under this image:-(. Just in reading the comments here I see! Getting older is true for every body, you, me, we, nobody can hold the evolution of time. Old(er) people doesn't need to be ashame to be old(er). Your image is beautiful, great, and "deep" but may be misunderstood or let's say not understood by some:-) Guitta
This is an example of a great picture that is made even better by a thoughtful title. Nice to see a consideration of the experiences of our elders, something that's incredibly rare in these circles. Guitta is so right. I remember how beautiful and wise my grandparents were with fond memories of my own. Sharen, if you want to change the settings, I think you can go back using the "edit" button to allow comments, etc. The image got my vote, anyway. Keep up the great work! Dean
Thank you, I surely did change the settings, I found it this morning. So now you can do the comments there and rate it, I can't wait to see what you all rate this as... :-) I was never much for this before in the galleries, but now find it most helpful in aiding me in my learning process. Thank you again all. Sharen
