Thought I would make an official thread on links that help with this months Challenge. Post any links to DTE tutorials here, also as electroglyph started, any links to tutorials on adding .mats to your library or especially exporting .mats out of Bryce onto your hard drive. AgentSmith

If by Bryce hand book you mean RWB4, I couldn't agree more. Real World Bryce has a huge amount on the DTE.

I was going through the Manual that comes with Bryce 5 and it is very informative on the DTE, with picture examples of the noise, octave, orientation, modes, rotation, filters, etc.... they let you see what you're doing with a particular thing, a good start for those without RWB4...

Sorry, my Bryce 5 manual has been collecting dust since I got it. I was frustrated by the poor organization of it, and just went back to RWB4. It probably does have good information for those without.

Agent Smith, do you remember an educational link posted sometime back that had Bryce tutorials in quicktime or was it media player format, something like 56 tutorials on all aspects of Bryce with a bunch on the DTE, (I saved the link, now when I hit it, says I don't haven't permission to access the server..it's Bowling Green State University) http://www.tilenut.com/yomama/tutorials/tutorhq.html = *******making frogskin http://www.tilenut.com/yomama/tutorials/Netorial.html = ********making fishnet http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/4340/dte/dte.html = the ********basics http://www.computer-training-software.com/bryce5.htm = *********demo movie on the DTE

Yeah...the thing with almost anything posted on a University server is, you better get it/save it fast. It's usually a students home page and once the student is gone, so is the page. The student could be there for four years, they could be there for only a semester. Basically, he's gone and so is his page. But, why stuff like this still shows up on search engines (that's how I found it again) is beyond me. I still see search engine results that reflect Bryce tutorials and stuff being at MetaCreations... AS

Here's a little nugget from Rayraz I came across while doing a search in the forum on the DTE.
