A lot of people use Poser (see the galleries), but maybe you can use photo's as a starting point. Find 'em on the net and paint over them. And practice a lot, I guess.

This person does some mind blowing work with photoshop. She has a tutorial for drawing/painting a nose that is quite good. Go to "gallery" from the main page and then click tutorials to get there.

Earlier versions of Poser (I think versio 3) were put on cd's that were attached to 3D and graphic art magazines last year. A lot of people who read this magazines also come here. Maybe someone in your area has a cd with Poser on it. That would be a nice low-budget start, wouldn't it be? It has to be somewhere, in my house (it would take some time to dig it up), but I am in The Netherlands. Maybe you can ask in the poser forum, here at R'osity

Please be careful how you word your request!!!

We at Renderosity have a ZERO TOLERANCE to "warez" request and someone may misinterpet your question.

PLEASE make sure you state you are looking for the issues of "Computer Arts" magazine that has the Poser3 CD. You may also want to look at the "Computer Arts" website to see if they still have the back-issue available. This may save some trouble...
