This is a piece of furniture I am building in Bryce. It is far from done, but I wanted some feedback on it. Only one drawer is finished and I need to find a better wood for it, but you will get an idea of it. I plan on making the design elements thicker in the finished one so they look more like wood.

Nice job...is the texturing a picture or something homegrown in Bryce? I like designs towards the top too...terrain or 2D face? MD

Second View I plan on making one for Poser, too.

The designs are imported objects. The texture is a wood tex I have from somewhere. Thanks. Diane

While I disagree about the door handles, I did notice that the top right-hand drawer has a rebate (a square frame) while the others do not.... This is nice work and although in the general shape of a kneehole desk I feel that it might be used to display something of importance in the centre rather than be used by someone sitting at it. Keep at it.....

This is really looking good! A suggestion for your future wood, check to see that the pattern isn't obviously repeating when you find the wood that you want. It's really obvious to me that it's repeating on the drawers with this sample wood you are using. Keep us posted. :) Lin

Thanks for the impute, everyone. I used to be an antiques dealer and this piece is based on a "waterfall" (called so because of the curve of the top edge) piece that I own. It is very close in dimensions, except I made the middle too wide. I will correct that in the Poser piece. Yes, that is a mirror, it isn't textured yet. I am working on a good oak texture and a contrasting one for the designs. It really should have some veneer designs to be more accurate. The hardware is actually very similar to some I have on another piece. The hardware was the hardest parts to make and show just how anal I can be.....each round is made of 6 pieces. Yes, I have only reworked one drawer front so far. I plan on doing a series of antique pieces in this style and others. Again, thank you, Diane

It looks finished apart from putting the drawers in on the left hand side.

Hi Diane, An interesting piece. I like it's development and you know I am always in wonder about how much effort and skill you apply to your work. Now which draw does the lace stuff go into? Fuzzy
