Hiya peeps. Does anyone know where I can get good quality BVH files? I am looking for anything and everything just to experiment with and hopefully come up with a small project soon. All help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Rich.

http://www.e-motek.com/ you can find heaps of bvh files for free to download

Poser has slight differences from mainstream .bvh files in the way that it handles body part names. Take a look at this location: http://www.zenwareonline.com/free/freeapps.html I haven't used it since I have Life Forms Studio but it might be worth looking at. Also, there is a good description of the format of Biovision .bvh at http://www.cs.wisc.edu/graphics/Courses/cs-838-1999/Jeff/BVH.html. You can edit the .bvh file in notepad.

I saw www.biovision.com on the list. Since they created the .bvh format, they must be one of the oldest. Lately, I haven't been able to get to their website. Has something happened to them?

If you've got P4, there's some "House of Moves" mocap BVH samples on the content CD. Works fine w/ both P4 and Mil figures (import using "Z axis" and "Scale automatically").
