That 'Haunted House' looks great! I hope you will find one that is similar to that.

Dizzie ( ) posted Sun, 06 July 2003 at 3:38 PM

Ditto...that's a FAB house!

jestercgi has a haunted house at DAZ. It is not exact but he does good stuff so it is worth checking out.

Porthos ( ) posted Sun, 06 July 2003 at 4:32 PM

Did check both DAZ and Sams, but I'm really looking for a broken, rundown haunted house! Thanks for your replies! Perhaps Little Dragon might know of one!!! :)

AAAHHH! the Addams family house I would love that also. Marge

SAMS3D ( ) posted Sun, 06 July 2003 at 5:49 PM

Wow that is a fine house, we are going to make another haunted house and wow, this would be just a great model...what do you think? Of course it would be a little while in production, it is either this look or the Bates house used in the Bates motel in Pyscho...I like this one though...is this the Adams Family house? Sharen PS; I like it alot.....!!!

Porthos ( ) posted Sun, 06 July 2003 at 5:53 PM

That would be wonderful Sharen! I'm not sure which house it is, I got this image from the 'Net' ages ago! I would be the first in the queue if you should model one like this! ;O)

SAMS3D ( ) posted Sun, 06 July 2003 at 5:57 PM

I just showed it to Mike and this will be the one...maybe we can start on it tomorrow morning....how exciting....I am going to go do more research on this picture, but this is a great looking home....now remember it will take a little while cause we want to make it like the Plantation house where it has real life like textures and easily manipulated through the layers....but I love this house. Sharen

dirk5027 ( ) posted Sun, 06 July 2003 at 5:58 PM

I bought the one at sams3d quite a while ago, it really is terrific

SAMS3D ( ) posted Sun, 06 July 2003 at 5:58 PM

It really looks like the Adams Family house more then the Munsters house and it definately isn't the Bates house. Sharen

dirk5027 ( ) posted Sun, 06 July 2003 at 5:59 PM

oh yea do the adams family house (all excited now)

SAMS3D ( ) posted Sun, 06 July 2003 at 6:12 PM

You know what, this is not the Addam's family house, I just checked, but I will find out who's it is and this will be it!...Sharen

Lyrra ( ) posted Sun, 06 July 2003 at 6:18 PM

Sharen, Look at dollhouse sites for houses by a company called "greenleaf" ... that company makes one very similar to this, and you might be able to get very detailed views of it. And if anyone can do this house justice, I think you guys can grin

SAMS3D ( ) posted Sun, 06 July 2003 at 6:19 PM

Thanks Lyrra, I will go check it out....Sharen

Porthos ( ) posted Sun, 06 July 2003 at 6:32 PM

Yippeeeee!! That's terrific Sharen - can't wait! Thanks for giving this a try! :D

hauksdottir ( ) posted Sun, 06 July 2003 at 6:48 PM

Great detailing! The glasswork around the door is worth the price of admission. Those gargoyles look diabolical, so I seriously doubt if this house is from a commercial TV program. Maybe a game? Carolly

jaybutton ( ) posted Mon, 07 July 2003 at 12:19 AM

I would definitely interested in a house like that! :) Jay

igohigh ( ) posted Mon, 07 July 2003 at 12:33 AM

I'm scared, you girls go in first OK? Then I'll enter...maybe...

hauksdottir ( ) posted Mon, 07 July 2003 at 4:17 AM

GIRLS????? We ladies will enter first. (After all, we know the difference between a dust-bunny and a ban sidhe.) Note, that if you call a mature woman a girl, you may discover that the hellhound is standing next to you. :grin showing too many sharp teeth: Carolly

BonBonish ( ) posted Mon, 07 July 2003 at 4:34 AM

Sharen, please post updates with your hunted house! And porthos, I think it's worth the waiting! Yes, I think you will do beautiful renders with Sharen's work. BonBonish

Porthos ( ) posted Mon, 07 July 2003 at 6:42 AM

Will most definately wait for this one BonBonish - thanks! And thanks to Sharen and Mike for doing this! :) Now c'mon guys and ghouls nuttin to be scared about! Muuuuhhaaaaaahahh:)

quesswho ( ) posted Mon, 07 July 2003 at 8:31 AM

There os a plastic model of the Addams family house that you can buy I got it and I have to say it looks an awful lot like the picture. I am wondering whose house that is. Marge

dragongirl ( ) posted Mon, 07 July 2003 at 3:44 PM

What a gorgeous DOOR this image has! And a wonderful curve to the roof-line! wow - wonderful house!

igohigh ( ) posted Mon, 07 July 2003 at 4:26 PM

Sorry Carolly, with all the beautifull "women" around here I couldn't tell that any of you could possibly be over 18 ;p Dust Bunnies? That that sounds frightning! Little, sharp toothed, rabbits lurking in the shadows and under beds, just waiting to ATTACK!!!

SAMS3D ( ) posted Mon, 07 July 2003 at 5:33 PM

me too...I also did the same search....I wonder if it is from a cartoon or animated show....or also a book cover? Sharen

SAMS3D ( ) posted Mon, 07 July 2003 at 5:34 PM

I also checked Abbott and Costellos' haunted series. Sharen

Khai-J-Bach ( ) posted Mon, 07 July 2003 at 5:42 PM

Just saw Pirates of the Caribbean last night and they advertised Disney's next movie "Haunted Mansion". So I just checked their promo site and they have some wonderful conceptual art images up. Of course we can't use them but they can give great ideas NOT to use ;p p.s. Pirates of the Caribbean ROCKED! If Eddy Murphy does a good job in Haunted Mansion then it should be a KILLER too!

Dizzie ( ) posted Fri, 11 July 2003 at 5:55 PM

none of the links work on that page...and I have the latest version of Flash..

OH man, I am going to go see it Sunday...can't wait, there is an old drive in that is showing...I love drive ins....thanks for this reference. Also, it is still far from finished, but real close....what do you think, we are fixing the door tonight to make it larger and of course we are getting just the right textures ready....but this is a preliminary. Sharen

SAMS3D ( ) posted Fri, 11 July 2003 at 6:53 PM

obviously we won't use this texture, but I had to put something on it to show you....Sharen

quesswho ( ) posted Fri, 11 July 2003 at 8:42 PM

:-) we are quite excited about this one. Sharen

ynsaen ( ) posted Fri, 11 July 2003 at 9:55 PM

great house, sharen and Mike, utterly wonderful!

thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. (Carlyle)

tialise ( ) posted Fri, 11 July 2003 at 10:36 PM

Everything Sharen and Mike do is wonderful, without doubt.

igohigh ( ) posted Sat, 12 July 2003 at 1:17 AM

Dizzie; Their working, not much there yet but a couple pages of conceptual art and a tiny "poster". I hope they add more later as the movie dosen't release untill November. It may be a Disney thing however as I have yet to be able to access the Pirates of the Caribbean flash site but others tell me it's great?? ;*( Sharen; I LOVE IT, I NEED IT, I WANT MORE OF IT!!! =8D You'll love Pirates of the Caribbean! If you have ever ridden the ride at Disney land be sure to count how many of the ride scenes you see in the movie. Think 'old ride' (pirates chasing women) not the new 'revised version' (pirates chasing chickens) they have now ;p

KateTheShrew ( ) posted Sat, 12 July 2003 at 3:06 AM

Forget Halloween, this would be perfect for a gothic novel or a great mystery story. Come on, gang, use your imaginations here. :) Kate

...was cold the night I went to stay with my uncle. he had in herited the family mansion.. and old grim forbidding place, sited out in the older founding part of town.. I ahd heard rumours about the Mansion.. how many years ago strange rites had been performed there. Leaving the locals scarred and reluctant to go near it. even now the word 'tupperware' left them shivering and clammy...
