Subject: Clothes and Poser

I think someone has already asked this before, but i couldn't find that question nor answer to that question. I am a bit new with Poser and don't know or understand all things. So, here is the case: I have for example V3 character and I add Fantasy Wrap cloth for her. Wrap suits fine, i can conform it to V3, works ok. But then... If i for example turn V3 upside down, that wrap should fall down. How do i do it? I know there is Cloth-room for doing this, but i just cant do it. Poser 5 manual wont tell actually how to do it, it just tells what button is what, and i havent found any good tutorials for this. Someone, please, tell me how to do it.

You can't use the conforming clothes in the clothroom. You have to import clothes in as an obj, clothify them and then the dynamics of the cloth will take effect. There are a lot of good tutorials on this. PoserFashion is a good place to start.

P.S. he actually has one tutorial specifically for transforming conforming clothes to dynamic cloth.

Dialyn gave you the best advice. I can't help but laugh though, about the P5 manual. It's so true. This is one program where you can ask just about anything and never fear the "RTFM" (read the __ manual) response, lol. I have managed to find a good use for it as a doorstop though >^_~

So, if I understood right, there is no way to do this with cloth which you can conform to character? If i don't conform it, should i use parenting instead?

Not usually, because the cloth room only works with single sided meshes. THe tutorial at Poserfashion is the best one around for working with dynamic cloth and the P5 clothroom.

Hmmh.. Ok... Well, i tried that table thing and it worked fine. But now i am playing again with my V3 and Fantasy/Belly Dancer set. Still cant understand how to do it. I load V3, I load dancer loincloth. It seems to fit ok to char. Now, do i have to do something special before going to cloth room? If i turn V3 upside down, cloth wont move with V3. Soo.... How do i attach my cloth to char? And how on earth i can make it fall down? Or, do i need to import this cloth and not to use this.. thing on right side to load it?

You need to follow the tutorial exactly. Tips: 1) single sided mesh only 2) import the obj from the geometries folder, not from the library 3)Read all of the tutorials on the site pertaining to the cloth room, then find the one that suits your needs best and read through it again before following it step by step.

Aaah, that was the problem. Seems to work ok now. I didnt realize that there is difference between using import obj and using library. Thanks!
