Well, i turned off my sun...and it finally occured to me to play around with the shapes of the primitives i was using for the torch flames. So, here's the latest.

Edit: Yea, i just realized i should make the ambient's in the torches a bit brighter. Also i should make the top of the tower brighter, and add the flames for the fire.

Looks quite dark. It works fine for my moniter, but I've run into problems with this before. Others may not be able to see it.

looks alot better,, a smidge brighter and maybe a light/low fog plane

"Reinstall Windows" is NOT a troubleshooting step.

I can still see a sketch of Hitler on the wall in the top of the tower....

Its getting better, a bit too dark on my monitor, but I am one of those with crappy monitors which pixelate most images. The torches are looking much more torchlike. Ang

Slakker, you know wat i do sumtimes? i spread at certain ares of interest (its up to you) the ambient light which should be RANGED. specify the range its a trial and error and sumtimes it takes a lot longer setting up the lights but you'll end up with a great render... dont add to much color on your lights though... use the farther right side of your color pallete when choosing colors. Using Range lights will save you precious render time and realistic lighting too! so ar your image has been really intersting now... i like the way it looks... a little ambient light will help a lot. light settings can be at a brightness of 2 or 1 experiment and see which is better

pretty dark for me as well. The torches all have the same exact flame. you should really make three different ones
