I'm getting ready to submit this model to the store, and would like any inputs folks may have. The model will have gloves when it's complete. Would you rather have this figure be a conformable model, or a model with a integrated head...that is, the rest of the body wouldn't be there since it's hidden inside the suit anyway. The later has size andvantages inside poser. Any comments are welcome, mobius

Best with an integrated head, like my Gerry Anderson UFO series alien in a spacesuit model. She would need a helmet, and also pressure gloves to stop her hands from swelling and bursting in space vacuum.

I love her already. Needs the complete helmet. Maybe you could add a light on her helmet or hands. Will she have any hand held devices with her? Can't wait until she's done!

Oh, don't do the high heels. That would make her look goofy. Ok! :)

I like the light on the helmet idea....that way, you could see the clear glass dome which is already there.

Duh! I see the glass helmet now. It's very subtle. In space no can hear you scream! :)

This is beautiful work, Mobius. I love the helmet as it is. Maybe some cuffs on the forearms with buttons or a display like the backpack.

Definately an integrated model (unless you want scenes a la Barbarella). That is excellent work mobius, I really like the look you've acheived with this figure (although I agree that she needs gloves) Paul

One word: Totally awesome!

Ok...I'm getting more ideas now. How about a morphable light? One that comes up somewhere out of the back of the glass? It could be controlled from a control panel on her arm....:) This is way too much fun! I'll be working on the gloves today hopefully.

Personally, although I love the figure I doubt I'd buy it - just not enough use for it at present. I'd recommend adding some sealed "pouches" and such to the mesh; standard astronaut uniforms, IIRC, have a lot of belt, leg, and sleeve pouches for storing items in (IIRC, Velcro(tm) was created so that astronauts could seal these pouches, and would be able to easily open them again later despite the clumsy, bulky gloves on their hands).

I's say make it conformable. This looks great!

CharlieBrown ( ) posted Thu, 29 June 2000 at 9:05 AM

Oh, my suggestion: Make an integrated figure available for free, and sell a separate, conforming space-suit figure at the store. But I'm a slut for free stuf... ;-)

An integrated figue (spacesuit and head) would take up less store space than a spacesuit plus a complete human model.
