Thanks a lot for sharing your models Ed.... You have a huge selection of various models that you make available to the Brycing community. Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate your sharing. I have used a few of your models and they were just what I needed. Nice work you do. 8) ~ Swade ~

Maybe you could answer a question for me... In your Firechamber Wall, all the columns are one object ("Columns_1). I want to seperate those columns to be...well, seperate. Bryce cannot texture them well when they are combined as one. Just wondering what I could use to do this and is there was an easy way to do it. Just curious, thanks again for all your cool stuff! AS

If it's a .3ds or .obj you should be able to import it into Wings3D. Then it would just be a matter of selecting the appropriate edge loop and perfoming a loop cut. It should be fairly easy if the geometry allows for it.
Your friendly neighborhood Wings3D nut.
Also feel free to browse my freebies at ShareCG.
There might be something worth downloading.
Cool, I'll play with that info tonight. I had just downloaded Wings3D a couple days ago, time to break myself in on it. Thanks! AS

I always deal with a certain amount of apprehension when grouping objects in models. The trick is to get as few groups as possible but not restrict the user in their texturing efforts. For things like the columns, try using a picture texture and 'object cubic' mapping. In most of my models there are hundreds of parts before grouping and that's just way to many to make someone go through and texture. Hope that helps explain, and I'll make a note about things like columns in future models of this type. Thanks for the feedback, Ed
Actually, all the textures in that render are picture textures, lol. And, yeah, its wrapped Object Cubic, looks great on the shadow side... But, trust me this isn't complaining, you have a GREAT collection of free items! Thanks! AS
