Welcome to the Poser Technical Forum.
Where computer nerds can Pull out their slide rules and not get laughed at. Pocket protectors are not required. ;-)
This is the place you come to ask questions and share new ideas about using the internal file structure of Poser to push the program past it's normal limits.
New users are encouraged to read the FAQ sections here and on the Poser forum before asking questions.
heya; i had this happen once in a while, too. dunno why; it's very strange! if the prop is parented to something, try un-parenting it before you move the origin. otherwise, just keep moving the origin (or, rather, moving the object towards the origin) until you get it where it's supposed to be. then just re-position your object.

I created a simple prop in Canoma, exported as a Poser prop. In Poser, the prop origin is outside of the figure and when I try to move the origin using the dials, the whole prop translates. Is there some way to edit a file manually to fix this? Gromit
