I've just put up a free 190 frame animated pose onto my site. There will also soon be a link in the Renderosity freestuff.

Enjoy 1.gif

Your page is messed up in IE6, Phil. You have something new to buy?

Great Clothes and Want Them, but, do they work on Vicky 3 or Vicky 2 in Pro-Pack? Don't have P5. Always great stuff from PhilC, but don't forget us P4 Pro-Pack users!

Phil, just as an amusing point, your hula animation for Victoria 3 works great with Ichiro, as does your V3 grass skirt. :-) Thanks as always for your generosity.

Hey, Phil has made a whole bunch of stuff recently for V3... it is about time he got back to Don and Judy! :) Carolly

I have no problems with making stuff for other characters, including Judy. But a LOT MORE people are using V2 and V3, and I would happily buy nearly everything Phil makes if it were for Vicky as well. Why just Judy only?

Veritas, Each human model is built differently. In order for clothing to "conform" it must match the underlying figure in terms of names of body parts and where the cut lines go (for bending and fall-off zones). The numbers and names of body parts have nothing to do with the number of vertices. If Vicky 2 has buttocks and an extra neck part, then clothing for Vicky1, Posette, Natalia, and Judy won't fit her. Some models have breasts attached to the chest and some have breasts attached to the collars (the chest is where they are, but they lift when a shoulder lifts). because of the parenting chains, body parts influence how clothing bends even if that article of clothing doesn't quite come near the body part. Some clothes have "ghost parts" to accomodate this. After modeling a garment, the maker must cut it into pieces to match the body parts and then test the garment to be sure that things don't go awry when the figure bends. This takes time... sometimes a lot of time. There is also a matter of style. Clothing which complements Dina (huge breasts and linebacker shoulders) probably will look awful on Supermodel Vicky with her really long legs or Stephanie with her lean huntress build. Vicky 3 has gazoodles of morphs. So clothing makers have also got to consider how much time they are willing to put into making enough matching morphs so that the clothes will still fit after the figure has been wrangled. Judy being P5 based also has extra possibilities for dynamic clothing... which is a different ball of wax... and texturing via shader nodes and displacement maps. With dynamic clothing, you have to consider what parts are going to be stiff and what parts are going to flow, as well as making sure that your mesh doesn't intersect with the figure's mesh at any point. This above is all a simplification, but each figure has its advantages and its requirements, and even if a garment looks similar on the outside (for example a dirndl skirt), it may be built very differently. Carolly
