What's up with the slow site recently? I have a cable connection and the site is still at a crawl.

My idea of rebooting is kicking somebody in the butt twice!

I am DSL and having SO much trouble viewing the art images either byh coming in from my e mail notices or even trying to find the new ones via "author names" here... I did stare at the id number of one image I was waiting to see for so long and thought.. could that mean there are more then 450 THOUSAND images here!? I wonder if that is the slow down.. SO MUCH art? When I just come to the front page and log in, that part is fast... I think it is just the galleries, for me anyway... for the last couple of days...

I'm sitting here at work on a T1 and it's extremely slow. It's been getting progressively worse over the last few weeks. What amazes me is how much disk space these guys must be using. 3D Commune fires right up for me, but then again, it's a smaller site with far fewer users. It could be a matter of too many users and too much data to parse, or Renderosity has a host with a crappy backbone.

It's also slow in the Forums... at 3 a.m. with only 1400 or so people. In fact it is so slow, that I usually get a hand of free cell in while waiting for the thread to load, even if there are no images in that thread. Carolly

Last night I couldnt even get back in here...it took so long to load a page that it timed out and gave me an error messege... I notice we now have spiffy new buttons in the MP...what else are you guys changing back there in that back room?
