I have just posted the first public beta of Maximum Pose 3 Freeware. Click the link to download and try it out. Maximum Pose 3 imports Poser 4 and 5 animations into 3D Studio Max versions 3,4 and 5+. Unlike Maximum Pose 2, Maximum Pose 3 does not load all of the animtion frames in MAX as morph targets. Animtion data is dynamically loaded, so it consumes very little RAM. You can animate high resolution characters for as many frames as you wish (hard drive space is the only limitation). The freeware version is identical to the up and coming professional version, except UV mapping is disabled. However, you can still assign all of the image maps, so you can see how well Maximum Pose matches up the materials (or doesn't ;). Anyway, anyone who is using Poser and 3D Studio Max, please feel free to download and give this software a whirl. Konan p.s. I have been away from the community for a while as I have been developing Mimic 2. I hope you all like that software package as well. DAZ and I put a whole lotta work into it.

Have you installed the Max 5.1 update? There is a bug in 3DS Max 5.0 which is resolved in 5.1. Konan

Sorry, the MAX 5.1 error message was a bug. It is fixed in the latest update (3.0.1.1b) which can be downloaded at the site.

Konan, I tried this version and I see you still have to export every frame as an .obj file. I thought this new version worked more like a communicator between both packages. I understand in Poser Pro Pak you don't export frames as .obj so save the hard drive space but then I've heard ProPak is really buggy so go figure. I also had trouble getting it to accept the animations until I disabled the textures check box. The test was just with one Michael and a Poserstyle props. It was failing on importing the animation until I first deleted all but one of the Poserstyle props and then disabled the texture checkbox.
