Hey, I just reinstalled Byrce 5 on my computer, and I can't remember how to get it into the flat-shaded OpenGL mode. Typically, the manual doesn't say jack about this. Help?

I had the same problem for who knows how long, lol. One day I found it, the next day, I couldnt remember.....for months, lol. Ended up that on the right side of the screen, theres the little display cube (near the bottom) click and HOLD to get the options to come up.

Why would you want opengl mode? What are the benefits?

Different strokes, different folks.

Is the flat shaded opengl mode better than wireframe?

AgentSmith ( ) posted Mon, 21 July 2003 at 6:52 PM

It just all depends on what you like, it's neither better or worse. I don't use it myself.

I find that it helps a lot with the positioning of objects and such, but that's just me.
