They can put meat into cans and build stuff like this, but we still can't find a way to get rid of e-mail Spam. What a world we live in. -=>Donald

Cool! Creative advertizing. Not sure I would have kept the name "Lincoln" though; remember the song about another towing company, "Lincoln Park Pirates"?

Lol!! Was this with the D100?

'chelle - you've been hanging around Tedz too much lately. Come over here dear, sit down and have some chips and a nice cold soda. It'll be okay. :) Misha - ummmm...no. Can you sing it for us? Funk - Yea, D100. Was a good test for the camera's exposure algorithms. Sun was intense, coming in over my right shoulder. A lot of glare coming off of the truck (love how the Circular Polarize took the reflection right off the windshield). I'm standing in shade (truck is right about to enter it). I messed up yesterday though. I put the Circ-PL filter on for the Festival and Parade I shot, and I meant to switch up to ISO 400, but forgot and left it at 200. With everything going on around me I didn't notice. Wasn't getting the shutter speeds I needed on most of my shots. :/ So conditioned by film. You put in the film you want and it's good to go. Will have to remember this. -=>Donald

Donald? What's the matter hon am I freaking you out with my droll wit and queer sense of humor...? Believe me I don't need to hang out with Tedz to be a weirdo...ok? Ya know I might feel normal if someone would just give me the damn oil rub they promised, and played toss the bonbons into 'Chelles mouth game with me. :~/ I just might have to go to Canada....and that wouldn't be good.....

I really get a kick out of custom work on vehicles. Wouldn't want one but they are fun to look at. Thanx for the smile :) Shannon

Lincoln Park Pirates Steve Goodman LP "Somebody Else's Troubles" AmDm Am The streetlamps are on in Chicago tonight, Dm C And lovers a'gazin' at stars; DmAm DmAm The stores are all closin', and Daley is dozin', Dm Em And the fat man is counting the cars... Am Dm Am And there's more cars than places to put 'em, he says, Dm C But I've got room for them all; Dm Am Dm Am So 'round 'em up boys, 'cause I want some more toys, Dm Em In the lot by the grocery store... Chorus Am Em Dm Am To me, way, hey, tow them away, Dm C The Lincoln Park Pirates are we, Dm Am Dm Am >From Wilmette to Gary, there's nothin' so hairy Dm Em And we always collect our fee! Am Em Dm Am So it's way, hey, tow 'em away, Dm C We plunder the streets of your town, Dm Am DmAm Be it Edsel or Chevy, there's no car too heavy, Em Am And no one can make us shut down. We break into cars when we gotta, With hammer and pickaxe and saw; And they said this garage had no license; But little care I for the law! Our drivers are friendly and courteous; Their good manners you always will get; 'Cause they all are recent graduates Of the charm school in Joliet. To me, way, hey, tow them away, The Lincoln Park Pirates are we, >From Wilmette to Gary, there's nothin' so hairy And we always collect our fee! So it's way, hey, tow 'em away, We plunder the streets of your town, Be it Edsel or Chevy, there's no car too heavy, And no one can make us shut down. And when all the cars are collected, And all of their fenders are ruined, Then I'll tow all the boats in Belmont Harbor To the Lincoln Park Lagoon; And when I've collected the ransom, And sunk all the ones that won't yield; I'll tow all the planes that are blocking the runways At Midway, O'Hare, and Meigs Field! To me, way, hey, tow them away, The Lincoln Park Pirates are we, >From Wilmette to Gary, there's nothin' so hairy And we always collect our fee! So it's way, hey, tow 'em away, Now citizens, gather around, And I think it's enough, let's call his bluff, Let's throw the bum out of town!

You've seen the signs, "Towed at owner's expense"? Back in the late 70's in Chicago there was this company, Lincoln Park Towing, who found it profitable to tow, anything, parked illegally or not.
