Is there a way to shape a head in Poser 4 using the grouping tool and magnets, but save the finished morph with out the magnets showing up?

Yep. Here's how I do it--In both cases, be sure that all the native morphs of the figure are set to "0." You can't use DAZ/Zygote morphs in your own morphs. Export as an OBJ file, 'squish' the object file in a text editor, then import into another same-mesh-based character. --OR-- Spawn a morph target right in the figure and use Morph Manager to transfer morphs from one same-mesh-based character to another. Traveler has some tutorials on his site, MorphWorld 3.0

You don't need to use the group editor. Just make your deformation with the magnet, then select the head (or whatever body part you deformed), from the Object menu click Spawn Morph Target, give it a unique name and click OK. You will now have a new morph dial in that body part, you can delete the magnet now unless you want to use it to make another morph. Save the character back to a pallet, if you want you can use the free utility Morph Manager to copy the morph to other characters, or to help you make a delta injection pose. Alternativly, instead of spawning a morph target, you can export a morph target to the HDD: 1. Deforme the body part with a magnet (or other morphs, or what ever). 2 From the file menu select Export>Wavefront OBJ>OK> [un-x UNIVERSE, and put a x against the part you want to save (ONLY one part)],OK> [name it]> [tick As Morph Target, un-tick all others], OK. To re-import the morph: Select the relevent body part, from the Object menu use Load Morph Target.
