Subject: Psychology of Colours

Crotcheteer ( ) posted Fri, 18 July 2003 at 3:13 PM ยท edited Thu, 13 February 2025 at 7:57 AM

Hi to anyone reading this. I'm busy writing a story about 11 women that are genetically created based on the psychology of colours (11 colours in total). Each colour has its own personality. I want to choose 11 existing poser models (V2 or V3) which I use to visualize the 11 women. Each model should fit the corresponding colour. Example: the colour 'red' stands for energy, warmth but also aggression, which I like to be expressed by the face morph and texture of the model. 'Kattiva' for V3 seems a nice one to me. Also 'princess Aura' looks like a candidate for the colour 'blue'. Explanation of the colours: RED. Physical Positive: Physical courage, strength, warmth, energy, basic survival, 'fight or flight', stimulation, masculinity, excitement. Negative: Defiance, aggression, visual impact, strain. BLUE. Intellectual. Positive: Intelligence, communication, trust, efficiency, serenity, duty, logic, coolness, reflection, calm. Negative: Coldness, aloofness, lack of emotion, unfriendliness. YELLOW. Emotional Positive: Optimism, confidence, self-esteem, extraversion, emotional strength, friendliness, creativity. Negative: Irrationality, fear, emotional fragility, depression, anxiety, suicide. GREEN. Balance Positive: Harmony, balance, refreshment, universal love, rest, restoration, reassurance, environmental awareness, equilibrium, peace. Negative: Boredom, stagnation, blandness, enervation. VIOLET. Spiritual Positive: Spiritual awareness, containment, vision, luxury, authenticity, truth, quality. Negative: Introversion, decadence, suppression, inferiority. ORANGE. Positive: Physical comfort, food, warmth, security, sensuality, passion, abundance, fun. Negative: Deprivation, frustration, frivolity, immaturity. PINK. Positive: Physical tranquillity, nurture, warmth, femininity, love, sexuality, survival of the species. Negative: Inhibition, emotional claustrophobia, emasculation, physical weakness. GREY. Positive: Psychological neutrality. Negative: Lack of confidence, dampness, depression, hibernation, lack of energy. BLACK. Positive: Sophistication, glamour, security, emotional safety, efficiency, substance. Negative: Oppression, coldness, menace, heaviness. WHITE. Positive: Hygiene, sterility, clarity, purity, cleanness, simplicity, sophistication, efficiency. Negative: Sterility, coldness, barriers, unfriendliness, elitism. BROWN. Positive: Seriousness, warmth, Nature, earthiness, reliability, support. Negative: Lack of humour, heaviness, lack of sophistication. So for each colour I want to choose a V2 or V3 model which will have the corresponding personality which fits the looks of the model. Can anyone help me choosing them?

This is bound to be a very subjective choice, I doubt other people's impressions would work as well as your own. I would take a look at the following textures: Yuma and India by SteffyZ; Malefica, Sacrament and Elsa for Stephanie--you didn't mention Stephanie but there are categories where a steff tex would be perfect. Margo and Daisy and Lacey. Charley and Bogarde by Stormi; Cherry2000 and BeachBaby by Syd; Celtic Warrioress, Woman of Power, and Devin by NikitaCreed. Bliss and Brynne and Amazing Grace by ByteMeOk. All of these are available at either RMP or Rdna store-- Devin is in Rdna freebies. Then there's Tiff's gallery of goils-- Aria strikes me as very cool and intellectual. Angelmoon's ladies -- especially Wildthings are quite emotional, but so is Daisy-- I think that's by Dalinese. See what I mean. Too tough to call for somebody else. Then there's Billy [female] for V3 by Cin at PoserPros, she's incredible, for me she looks very White on your scale of category, but who knows what you would think. Lots of ladies too little time. And I didn't even get into the painting maestros like Ecstacy, Samildanach and Spanki. knowing I was of no help at all but having fun anyway, Emily

Thanks all for the replies. Choices sure are subjective, but still the suggestions give me some directions and new ideas, since there are SO many beautiful models! Emily, I guess 'India' should be 'Asia'? I checked all your suggestions. The only one I could not find is Celtic Warrioress. Can you tell me where I can find it? Thanks again for all comments.

Yeah, senior moment picked a country rather than a continent. NikitaCreeds Warrior chick is at RuntimeDNA, I don't have the url offhand. Her Woman of Power text is slightly better, I think, but both are for V3 as I recall, if that makes a difference. I have the texture converter and V3 so I can use both. I do think your notion of 11 women embodying 11 modes of being is a very creative one and would like to see the results. Emily

Ok, found whe warrior! And also saw the women of power texture, which indeed looks good. I first planned to use only V3, but then I saw 'Princess Aura' for V2, which I definitely want to use. Now I do have the texture converter, but cannot use the face morph on V3. So I'm not sure what to do. As for the bodies I wanna use VV2003. And while I'm busy assigning models to each colour, I'm building up the story, and also make the 11 personalities more detailed, with the psychology of colours list as a basis. The story will be a combination of sci-fi and fantasy (middle-age). For the sci-fi part, I want to have some kind of scientific explanation (just for myself, not in the story) for all sci-fi gadgets. So there won't be something like a teleporter, because I don't think that's possible without losing your 'being'. Eventually it will be a written story, accompanied by poser pictures. I think I write it in Dutch, and maybe later translate it into English. Emile
