In English... The question is what the hell do they actually sell? The movements are very lifelike, but I don't think for an instant that you can do that within poser. You should check out the other stuff too, they have what looks to be one of Yamoto's Models doing the catwalk strut too, though I think they've extended the legs. It's all poser models, wonder if they mention that anywhere :) later jbVery nice. Would love to know if he used BVHs, hand animated, combo or what. Any idea what version of Poser/renderer he was using. He needs to do a quick follow-up version with her talking (using M2) to really blow peoeple away. Gutsy project they are embarking on as well, I have to give them credit. -Tim
I figure that the mesh is just that, a mesh, I'll bet it's a fully rigged skeleton in Charcter Studio or Maya doing the real work, they just know that thier target demographic will relate better to a babe than anything else. Think of it as a Ferrari body shell on an RC car :) Nice body though Jim :P later jb
Its all done in Poser with the use of Python scripting (and some other self made programs for the manipulation of bvh motion files). Its only a demonstration for the lower end of whats possible. For the use of Yamatos P4 figures we have asked him and he gave his permission years ago. The scripts eventually will find their way into a store or public domain. We dont know yet, because they are not our main business. "What the hell do they sell ?" Look carefully and you will see it - its an animation engine for social acceptable interaction games ( no shooters) with behaviour libraries for animation, input devices for recognition of the users emotions and personality, and "emotional feedback devices". Heres a link where you can see more: http://evolution.anthro.univie.ac.at/institutes/urbanethology/emosym.html Enough ? Off and away from the heat in Vienna into the cool alps - Karl
That's arguably some of the most natural motion I've seen in Poser animation. From what I see on your sites, I'm guessing that the idea is to augment a basic "walk" BVH with personal characteristics for a more natural appearance. From what I see in the screenshot, I'm guessing you're using Pro Pack rather than 4 since 4 doesn't come with Python (and simulated radiosity using a dome of dim lights). Again, bravo for making something more lifelike than the "Hall of Presidents" stuff I end up with.
That was sweet! And there are those who think POSER is low-end and contemptable. WOW!

So that was produced with poser, I'm impressed, most of the poser animation I've ever seen is fairly clunky. Was it rendered in poser too? How advanced is your product BTW? As in would it be of any use to a guy who likes posing babes. Or would I be right in thinking that it's a suite of tools to manipulate datasets that will later become the motion data for a game engine? Kind of like buying physics or AI engine... If you can do stuff like that video easily I'm interested, if you need a capable programmer, to make use of it, I'm not :) later jb

Just something about a pretty girl in high heels... A guy named Karl Grammer has been working on this project for quite some time now, I've been in contact with him going back a couple years. I don't understand exactly where he is going with this, it involves a lot of facial expressions too, as you will be able to see. Anyway, the site is in German, just download the Zip if you want to see it, you will also need a Quicktime viewer if you don't have one, try www.apple.com (they have free ones for PCs, too). Anyway, if I can slip in a little advert here, Supermodel Vickie isn't dead yet, as I just did a major upgrade on her and she is selling at a special intro price becaue of it, right now only at BBay, but real-soon-now at PoserPros and here. And doesn't she look good in that outfit! PS. I just noticed there is an English button at the site, but if you click it you may not be able to find the page again, download it first!
