This was just posted in the corelsupport.bryce newsgroup. (Thank goodness.) -- snip -- The patch that is currently available on Corel's Web page will only work for those of you who have a MetaCreations version of Bryce 4.0. We just recently became aware of this problem and are working to create a new patch which will be a free download and will upgrade all users (both Corel and Metacreations versions) to version 4.1. This patch will contain more bug fixes and some enhancements. We hope to have this completed in the near future and will post a message here to let people know when it is ready. Cool because I can't take advantage of their new caustics and such with 4.01 because it locks my program and then my machine. Glad to hear the news.

From reading their announcements about the acquisition of Bryce and other Metacreations programs, I'm under the impression that one of Corel's intentions is to broaden their market base for the products, so I would think that french and other international versions are likely. (I'm not a Corel rep, though, so this is just a guess.)
