Wow, this looks great! Well it did earlier, lol. I know how you're feeling. I saw this on my monitor at work and it looked fantastic! Now that I am at home and seeing it with my crappy monitor, it has lost its clarity and beauty. I am really going to get a new PC soon. The hell with trying to get out of debt, its never gonna happen. As far as posting a lighter version I doubt thats necessary, not sure if my home monitor would see it that much better. It seems to blur the colors. Anyhow, this looks like a finished product to me but I'd be curious as all heck to see what more you could do to it. :-D Angela
Rayraz,
Since I adjusteed my monitor settings, thanks to shadowdragonlord and the software he mentions in another thread, I can see stuff like this just fine. Your image is lookin' good!

All done with DTE textures. 7 in total. No 2D-textures used. The nebula is a volume, the stars are a DTE modified procedural on an infinite plane, the planet has a seperate surface and cloud texture and a volume atmosphere. The energy waves throught the atmosphere is also a volume. And I created the genesis effect using a volume texture on some boxes. All the textures are 100% made by me.(_/)
