THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: obj format export

I'm relatively new to bryce 4 and I was surprised to discover that bryce does not support an export in the obj. format. In a search of the forum I learned that terrains are the only thing that bryce allows to be exported by obj. Is there any conversion software anywhere that will allow a bryce created object or scene to be exported using the wavefront obj format???

Nope. Only terrains and 2D lattices. Which there was a way , we need some programmers to help us crack this problem.

Damn! I wish there was a way. For some reason I find it is easier and faster to create bolean type objects and put textures on them in Bryce than in anything else--but if I can't export them--then Bryce is just a one way (dead-end) street. Damn! -Ken

Yeah it is. But it's a really nice looking dead end street... Somethin gon my wish list (Along with object export) is an option to have booleans either operate as they do now, OR, have them modify the geometry permanently as they do in other modelers. In spite of the dead end, I often find myself finishing objects in bryce because their boolean ops seem to be more stable than other programs.
