Subject: Need some help. Having a problem with PS7

everytime I try to use the brightness/contrast tool photoshop gives me the eyedropper and says.. select a new color. not only that but when I try to click on another tool it won't let me I have to press esc to get out of it. I tried rebooting but it didn't change anything :/

I had that happen to me a while back, now i need to rack my brain-pan to remember how i fixed it...

even i had same prob but it has evaporated how i fixed it. i m using win 98

Not quite sure what you mean by brightness/contrast 'TOOL' because I don't know lots about PS7 -I only know the one in 'Image>Adjustments' . But I was stuck with a tool setting once and couldn't change it until I reset all Tools to the default settings through the tool menu . Is that what you mean ?

yea the image/adjustments one sorry.. I'm usuing win 2000 pro

Does it bring up the Brightness/Contrast slider? When I select brightness/contrast it switches to the color select tool but it also brings up the slider. I can change the settings and the close the slider, it then reverts back to my previously selected tool. Have fun, Enian
