Attached Link: workaround for single-sided polys
I could not reproduce your problem - do you have SR-3 installed? If so, it could be the problem with single-sided polygons and the PoserSurface node, where we found a workaround a while ago. See the link for more.Ack - I've worked out what the problem was, and it's not specific to single sided objects, it's true of all the square props. I had a square with a movie on it and another sqaure ever so slightly behind it which was slightly bigger (it was acting as a border or frame to the movie). When 3d motion blur was used, the movie was being blended into the frame behind. Not good. Moving the movie away from the frame fixes the problem. I dont know if this could relate to some other setting (like displacement... I'm not too clever with those settings yet) but it's pinpointed the problem at least.

I've been trying (and failing) recently to get a decent motion blur on a movie export. 2d motion blur isn't all that hot so I tried the 3d motion blur settings in poser5 (I have sr3).
It seems to work very well on most of the objects in my scene but for some unknown and irritating reason some of the single sided square that I have a movie texture on (rendered from an avi file) seem to become semi-transparent when 3d motion settings are used meaning that objects that are behind them become blurred into the square making everything look like junk.
I've tried every permutation of settings in the renderer options but I was wondering if there's something I'm missing, possibly in the way I have the texture applied to the surface (at the moment the node is mapped to regular and alternative diffuse and all transparency, translucency, highlight and specular settings are at 0).
Has anyone else had much experience of 3d motion blur or know any alternative that might be good to use?
