Subject: Transparency in animated gif rendering option not working(Carrara)

Please help me. I have tried to save animated gif's with a black transparent background with no success. All I get is a garbled/jumbled file. I can create animated gif's without transparency without difficulty. If anybody know what I'm doing wrong please respond.

I don't have time to check for sure but I think your problem is going to be that .gif's don't support transparency. I am assuming that you are trying to use G-Buffers to preserve the transparency? The best formats for preserving transpancy are 32-bit formats like .pict, .bmp, .tiff and .psd.

Whoa! BMP isn't a 32-bit format, at least not last time I checked. And PSD isn't supported by Carrara, I don't think. Your best bet is tiff or targa. Hoborg
