Hi all!! I found this pic on the web and saw how small it was but was a pic that I was looking for for a project of mine. I need to blow it up to about 400x400. I do this and it gets real pixelated. Now I tried everything I could think of and all the filters ps7 has that could help resolve the issue(to the best of my knowledge which isnt much) Is there a way to clean this pic up to look less pixelated? I tried the remove scratches and remove artifacts n the like but to no avail at at.

I will warn you, setting the pixels high like this will really bogg your machine down. Turn off everything, cd player... In-Box, all that junk running in the background... ...BEFORE you attempt this. Your machine might appear to hang when it isn't. So, be patient if you try this.

There is not too much you can do about pixalization. It is just something that happens when you take a small picture and enlarge. You can blur the pic and then try and sharpen it back out again but you will never get it to the quality it was at when it was small, you've lost too much data. Have fun, Enian

you actually haven't lost any data, there just was never eno0ugh of it to begin with. swipin' pics be uncool as well.

Remember: you can always reduce the image "down" but never try to "enlarge". (regardless of what you see in the cop shows on TV, if the data isn't enough, it ISN'T ENOUGH) :) retrocity

...and i agree, just cuz' the image is on the web dosen't mean it's free for the pickin'.

well ok this is a pic from a cartoon its made for release to the public not to mention it isnt for sale just a signature banner for a forum so dont blow ur tops over something ur not sure what its about ok

like or not, you had your question answered in detail, so realize that next time you say "I found this pic on the web" people will assume that in all likelyhood, you saw something, said "Hey I can use that for a project of mine", and come to the logical conclusion that you are using other people's work, unlicensed, for your own project. by the way, a grand "You're welcome" from all of us who chipped in anyway.

You should look into a program called Shortcuts SSpline Pro. It has a new type of algorythm for enlarging images without loosing detail.
