Every once in a while I find a cartoon with a very interesting subject. It's it ingenius how somethning really small can be made to sound really important? Personally I think this is art.

I've always considered cartoons to be art. I figure if blobs of color can be art, so can line drawings. Lin

I love Calvin and Hobbes! And I do consider "cartoons" to be art. One of Watterson's (C&H) greatest laments is that the Sunday funnies have turned into a marketing tool and not a venue for artistic talent and wit.

Calvin and Hobbes = win.

Nukeboy, I stopped reading the comics in the paper a long time ago. Either the strips seemed repetitive, or they were a little too far out there for me to get either the point or the wit (or perhaps I'm just slow ;) ). I sometimes check out online comic strips, like www.pvponline.com by Scott Kurtz. Studio Foglio has put their first Girl Genius comic online, which I find entertaining. I enjoy looking for the extra jokes in the background.

I also think Calvin and Hobbes rule! Lin

Calvin and Hobbes is great ... I miss it. :-/ About the only other cartoon I read is Ziggy and For Better or Worse. Oh, and of course Peanuts ... can't forget them. the rest are fluff or C&H wanna be's.

My favourite cartoons are Garfield and Calvin and Hobbes. I get a new one of both in my e-mail every day.
