How do you manage to tighten the bikini? I have circled the things that i have problems. This is after i have clicked on Conform to about 50 times literally. So Please, help out a noobie.

Need more info. What version of Poser, what base model and what bikini?

happypuppy ( ) posted Wed, 30 July 2003 at 8:38 AM

version 4, and just the originals.

More questions :-) 4.03 patch? Any morphs on Posette? I know that some clothing doesn't conform well in extreme poses. Though it's usually tough to pose the hips oddly, unless you have some morphs applied. Sometimes it's gonna happen no matter what you do, because the model and the clothing are two different entities. I solve the problem by using a cameral angle that doesn't catch poke-throughs, making the poke-through part invisible if it's completely covered by cloth, or postwork.

Morphs change the shape of a figure. On Posette, that would be the SuperHero dial on the body, the RoundFace, FlatFace, etc., dials on her head, or even changing the scale of any body part. All would affet the fit of clothing.

If it makes you feel any better, it's not a problem with being a noob. It's posette and her clothes. I tried it, too, with no morphs, and got the same result :-)

Unfortunatly conforming close never did work very well. The effect you see happens when Posette is bent forwards from the waist. Magnets are probably the best way to fix pokethrough in clothes. Try the file linked above, save it to the Magnets pallet and change the file extention to pp2. Select the hip actor of the Bikni Bottom, then apply the BikiniBott magnet, adjust the z and y translation of the mag untill the bikini looks right.

The main thinge to remember when using magnets: Select the correct actor (body part) before applying the mag. Position and/or scale the mag zone so it only covers the aria to be affected. Translate and and/or scale the mag to get the desired effect. You can add elemements (actors) to deforme from the magnets Properties dialogue.
