I'm hopelessly confused. :-) I've tried three times now to post my entry to the July challenge, starting on 28/29 July. It's up on my Gallery, but not for anything will it appear in with the lucky 16 who are shown in the Challenge upload area. I've written to "AgentSmith" and had no response. I've written to "Clay" and had an answer saying he/she will try to find out what's happening. It's now August and .... Have I missed a vital step in this process? It's my first challenge, so it's quite possible that I've stuffed it up somewhere. But I worked really hard on this, as I'm sure everyone else does, and I'd like at least to be in the running. Any thoughts?

Addendum: I posted the image to the Challenge upload area as well as to my Gallery, so that's not the issue.

AS is away for a few more days at Siggraph. he had posted a thread before he left informing all they you have a few extra days for your challenge entry. Your entry is will not show up until he returns and uploads it.

I missed the thread, so my shortcomings there. How silly to get so anxious over something that doesn't pay anything, that isn't all that public, and that will be finished in under a month. Ah, let's blame it on a hyperactive artistic temperament! ;-) At any rate, I'm relieved now and I thank you for that.

My first post to the challenge arean bounced because the thumb was over 100 pixels high. The second one I got a confirmation on. AgentSmith will return and probably post an I'm back message in the forums, and maybe even give us a heads up for some of us slackers (I mean you Drac;) to finish our entries and get them in. He's very good about seeing that everyone is included. If you see more than the current 16 entries and yours is still not among them, then send an email and he'll sort it out.

Acerebel not a problem and it's not silly to get anxious and excited over the challenges in this forum, everybody does. Its one of the reasons why I like this forum so much, because everybody in here loves this software we call Bryce and we all get excited around the beginning of every month. Rest assured your are not alone :)

My first challenge I was as nervous as a kitten and had loads of silly questions about things that I now find to be second nature. So it's ok to get worked up about it and as others have said AS is very good at seeing everyone gets included. 8) Catlin

No matter what I feel I've accomplished, there's always so much more to learn and create. Not too many things in this world you can say that about!

Your Heritage dictionary obviously doesn't include ye olde englishe colloquial engineering terms. The cronkshift agitator sprocket was to be found on ye olde mechanical yarn spinning engines, mostly used in the north of England back in 1700andfrozentodeath. Between the warp and the weft of the yarn spinning suzies was a sprocket that rotated the wool in an anti-clockwise direction (In countries on the southern half of the planet it goes clockwise) by way of the re-gimping collector gear attached to the sliding pully jack. Every 3/4 turn of the sprocket resulted in a one foot length of wool being shifted along the peter-bar which was then spun onto the material being woven. This was often in conjunction with another medium such as cotton...hence the expression 'cottoned-on'. The cronkshift - a reversing mechanism - was moved by the actions of the agitator sprocket. This allowed the whole process to be repeated eternally until the end of the weaving run, the moment the required length of cloth had finshed being created. Thus the failure of the cronkshift agitator sprocket was a very serious thing, amounting to the complete shut-down of the machine and the weaving run, costing the owner loads of money and often the sacking (the covering of the machine supervisor in the discarded and worthless length of cloth)of whoever was on duty at the time.
